Santa, would you believe these two have been nice all year long?

Ava has gotten very good at rolling over. Emilie is happy to watch for now.

So, today I was feeding Emilie and she decided she was done after three minutes of nursing. I was not convinced, so I put my finger in her mouth and she bit down…low and behold, there was a little tooth breaking the surface. I am freaking out about this. Mainly, because I cannot believe they are actually turning into little humans. I know all about child development and know about “teething” and such BUT I never thought MY little preemies would grow up!! lt’s happening too fast.
Well, this prompted me to immediately check Ava’s mouth. Nope, she’s still my little gummi bear. Sheesh, one thing at a time.

I was in charge of feeding the girls recently. Ava was causing so much trouble I just had to get video of the experience. Emilie’s time in the chair is in the second half.

The girls had their first taste of solid food a few weeks ago. Ava was into it – Emilie not so much.

I have taken the stay home mommy part of my job very seriously the past few days. In addition to my regular cooking, cleaning, and child rearing…. I have taken the girls to the grocery store, to Henry’s, to Target and to the dry cleaners all by myself. My biggest accomplishment though is that I have made three full batches of homemade baby food (stored in the freezer). The girls can look forward to peas, squash, and sweet potatoes all courtesy of their little mommy. Sometimes, I impress myself.

This is what happens when twins try to share. This was taken just before we took the girls out to the park on a beautiful 70 degree day here in SD… Emilie is not thrilled to have her sister laying on her, I would say…
I haven’t posted the girls’ weights in awhile… Today Ava weighed 14lb 15oz (come on… one more ounce and she would have been 15!!). Emilie was 13lb 9oz (slow and steady).
Both girls are learning to crawl, eating rice cereal twice a day, and getting huge.
