Twin A / Twin B
We had our 20 week anatomy study and found out we are expecting two little girls… They are healthy and everything appears to be there (or not there). Baby A and Baby B weigh 11 ounces and 10 ounces respectively which is right on target for 20 weekers…
I, of course, an measuring like a 26 weeker… life is already unfair!

The only thing to report at this point is that my belly button is almost totally “popped” and I am growing and growing and growing… see pictures for proof.
We also found out that our AFP study came back negative which was great news because I heard with multiples it always comes back a “false positive”… stay tuned for the 19-20 week ultrasound on Friday.

We are officially at week 18 today and growing at amazing speed… For the most part we are still feeling well. The next ultrasound is on the 28th and will find out their sexes then… we cannot wait!!

I heard their heartbeats today for the first time at our 16/17 week MD appointment. The first heartbeat was easy to find on the left side of my tummy. It sounded like a really fast, rhythmic drum beat… the second one took a bit longer to find but was ultimately pick up on the right side and sounds like a galloping horse. Both were amazing. Our next ultrasound is Friday 03/29…

I am starting the grieving process for the loss of my belly button. I am just moments away from “popping” out my belly button which has come way to fast for me!! Sadly, I also think my belly jewelry will have to come out as well… I am trying to embrace my new “thanksgiving turkey” look.
